The history and character of the building
The building housing the apartment was built on the site of the pre-war Ophthalmic Institute. It was designed by Jan Bogusławski and Bohdan Gniewiewski in 1964, and construction was completed in 1976. Initially, it was planned to be a Polish hotel. The characteristic shape of the top floors led Warsaw residents to colloquially call it "„jaw-dropping house”" or "„with a hammer”In 2016, the building was entered into the municipal register of Warsaw monuments and remains one of the symbols of the capital's modern architecture of the 1970s.

The apartment is located in the very center, on Smolna Street, near the following streets: Foksal and New World – vibrant with life, full of cafes, restaurants and atmospheric corners.
